你堂哥这边实在是想离婚，就离吧，但是要把外债还掉，孩子看双方怎么协议，财产问题也可以协议解决，不同意就拖着不离婚。反制一波先。

这种情况，离婚又不是什么坏事，对你堂嫂来说是一种解脱，不然以后还要背债，多辛苦。
